Iracambi Forest Futures: Adopt A Plot - Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest Conservation

Thanks to all the people that have contributed to the Forest Futures scheme. We aim to keep you update with what is happening here at Iracambi so you can see your future forest grow!

UPDATES :

Many thanks to the Innocent Foundation for supporting our Forest Futures Program. They have offered to give us a substantial sum to help us on our way to buying a future forest plot. We have now identified three suitable forest plots and are ready to start negotiations.

Thanks to the efforts of UK trustees and friends of Iracambi who helped out on our stall at the annual
"Fruit Stock" festival (sponsored by Innocent) held in Regents Park in August. The event was a great success and more people are now aware of the Forest Futures program and Iracambi.

FOREST FUTURE

November saw a really positive meeting at Iracambi where we shared some new aerial photography with local farmers. This photography is crucial in identifying the worst degraded areas of land.

Several schools have adopted a Forest Future. Amigos de Iracambi UK is investigating the possibility of working with more schools and hopefully raising further money.
