Help us to find the pot of gold
at the end of the funding rainbow
We need to ensure that the proposals we send have as good a
chance of success as possible, and that they fit in with our
priorities. Funding has to fit in with the work that we need
doing, so that any funding we receive can help us do our work,
rather than distract us by making us count flower petals because
we said we would simply to get funding!
Ongoing work
- Identifying possible targets and researching them and their
interests, funding criteria etc.
- Preparing funding proposals
- Making up guidelines for people to use for future funding
proposals.
- Maintain the database of foundations - when contacted, what
proposal submitted, response etc.
- Writing pages for the website.
Current priorities
- Identifying more sources of funding.
- Writing funding proposals for Foundations and funding sources
we have already identified.
Skills and expertise needed
- Excellent writing skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good research abilities.
Time frames
This is a project that can be worked on year round.
Project update
We are in the process of finalising our entry for the 2005
Alcan Prize for Sustainability - last year we were one of the
twelve shortlisted entries for the prize, and we hope to do
even better this year. We have a long list of potential foundations
and have narrowed this list down to a shorter list and are beginning
to prepare applications for the next set of application deadlines.
